Ted Stanfield serves the Colleton County Sheriff's Office as Chief Deputy. The Chief Deputy is the second in command and performs the functions of the Sheriff in his absence. The primary function of the Chief Deputy is to oversee the daily operations of all divisions of the Sheriff’s Office and to maintain communications with the division commanders. The Chief Deputy dictates and enforces directives from the Sheriff and also provides communication to the Sheriff from the different divisions. The Chief Deputy serves as the primary Public Information Officer (PIO) along with the Law Enforcement Division Commander. |
